C.C. White was born in Indiana around 1864. He appears in the San Jose Directory in 1884, working in a lumberyard on The Alameda. Also, he was registered to vote in Santa Clara County in 1884,and was living at 122 Sunol St. He probably took up photography around 1889, when he was living at 842 S. 1st St., but by 1892 he is no longer in San Jose. He appears in the Santa Cruz County voter registration rolls is 1892. The last record found puts him in San Francisco in 1930, working as a lumber dealer. White appears to only have worked as a photographer between 1889 and 1891.
